Signs of Autism
Do you know the signs of autism won’t develop or show in the initial months or even in the initial years of a child? Autism is a severe disorder present at birth and showing symptoms within the first two-and-a-half years of life. Almost all autistic children are perfectly normal in appearance, but show weird and puzzling behavior which makes them very different from other children.
The symptoms of autism vary widely. Two children with the same age and diagnosis may show quite different signs of autism and that’s what make the disease very difficult to diagnose by a general physician.
A few common signs of autism are.
Impaired social interactions with
- Failure in responding to his or her name.
- Showing poor eye contact.
- Showing deafness at times
- Playing alone-and shows no feelings on others.
- Resists physical touch by others like cuddling and holding.
Delayed language skills
- Late development speaking skills is a major sign of autism
- Complete loss of previously acquired skills to say words or sentences.
- Lack of eye contact while making requests.
- Inability to keep a conversation going.
- Repeating a word several times or difficulty to use proper words in proper place.
- Speaking in an abnormal rhythm.
Odd behavior like
- Display of repetitive movements such as rocking, spinning, or hand flapping.
- Inability to accept changes in routines and developing strange and unusual routines.
- Showing unusual sensitiveness towards light and sound.
- Children with signs of autism find it difficult to concentrate on things.
- But as the autistic children mature they will be more engaged with others and shows marked improvements in signs of autism.
Children will continue to have signs of autism but with the proper care its easier to control and diagnose the disease
